Take Action Institute
The Take Action Institute works to create leaders by focusing on the change each person can make in their community through the small but powerful changes they can make in themselves.
The Institute provides training and mentorship to equip the next generation with essential resources and tools. Drawing on powerful Holocaust testimonies and lessons, the institute creates curricula and conducts training programs to engage students and professionals in skill development and personal growth.

Our Programs
The Institute currently offers three unique programs for students, educators, and community leaders:
Upstanders Program
The UpStanders Program is a bullying prevention initiative of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center. Rooted in Holocaust Education, the UpStanders Program challenges students to study one of the world’s paramount examples of prejudice in order to understand the role each of us plays in shaping a better future.
Dr. Norman M. Wall Teacher Institute
Teaching and learning about the Holocaust provides an essential opportunity to inspire critical thinking, societal awareness, and personal growth. Decades after the event, societies continue to wrestle with both the memory and historical record of the Holocaust in the midst of contemporary challenges.
CitizenU Law Enforcement Training
CitizenU delves into the historical role of law enforcement during the Holocaust, offering officers a deeper understanding of authority, accountability, and moral courage. Participants examine how antisemitism shaped police actions, the ethical dilemmas faced under the Nazi regime, and the devastating consequences of those choices.
By drawing on lessons from the past, this program equips law enforcement professionals with strategies to uphold justice and dignity in modern society.
